Agreement to terms
By booking your escape you agree to the following:
You are over the age of 18
You accept financial responsibility for the booking, for yourself and/or other persons you have booked on behalf of
Any amendment/cancellation requests must be in writing to email@example.com and will be subject to the below terms and conditions
Our aim is to provide a holiday that will give you memories to last a lifetime, you can call us on 07838 116144 or email firstname.lastname@example.org with any queries.
To secure a space on any Fortis Escape, a non-refundable deposit of £500 per person is required upon booking.
Payment of any outstanding sums owed (the balance) must be made at least 90 days before the start date of the Escape you are to be attending. If payment is not made by the due date your place may be lost.
If booking is made within 90 days of travel the total payment will be due at the time of booking.
On receipt of payment we will issue a confirmation invoice, with the due date for remaining balance.
All cancellation requests must be received in writing, by the person who made the initial payment. Since we incur costs in cancellations the following cancellation charges will be payable:
If you cancel 90 days or more before your Start Date, you will be refunded the full amount paid up to that date, less any transaction fees imposed by our payment gateway, and excluding the £500 per person booking fee ("Deposit") which is non-refundable.
If you cancel between 60 - 90 days before your Start Date, you will be refunded 50% of any sums paid, less any transaction fees imposed by our payment gateway, and excluding the £500 per person booking fee ("Deposit") which is non-refundable.
Cancellations less than 60 days before the Start Date of your Escape are non-refundable and will result in a forfeit of any and all sums paid.
If you or any member of your part are unable to travel, your place can be transferred to someone else, subject to these conditions:
That person is introduced by you and is satisfied with all the conditions of the Escape
We are notified not less than 14 days prior to travel
The transferee agrees to all the term and conditions
It is not the responsibility of Fortis to find a replacement guest should you be unable to travel.
It is your responsibility to organise suitable travel and health insurance. You acknowledge that Fortis Escapes is not in the business of providing insurance products and cannot be held liable if your failure to arrange suitable insurance coverage leaves you exposed, medically, financially or otherwise. By booking your escape you confirm that you have travel insurance.
On the trip
Comments and complaints: although we are sure that you will have an amazing trip, should you have any issues on the trip please make your hosts aware right away. They will endeavour to make your escape as pleasant as possible and fix any issues. Please note any claims made after the trip may be rejected if we are not given the opportunity to make things right during your stay.
Room sharing: unless you have booked a private room, or a sharing room with a friend, Fortis can not be held responsible for issues such as snoring, clash of personalities or other annoying habits etc. All rooms are ensuite, you can find room specifications for your villa on the information page for that Escape. If you have specific questions you can contact us and we’ll do our best to answer these.
Please note if you have booked a sharing room we can guarantee that you will be sharing with a guest of the same sex.
Before travel you will receive a form asking for any dietary requirements, allergies, injuries etc. We ask that this is completed a minimum of 1 month prior to travel so we can make the necessary arrangements.
Fortis can not be held responsible for any injuries incurred on the escape.
